MEET GABBEE

THE HUMAN BEHIND THE CAMERA

Hi, I’m Gabbee (yes, 2 b’s, 2 e’s). I’m a branding & lifestyle photographer who runs on magic—yes it exists. My sun sign is Taurus. I am fascinated by all things magical—astrology, tarot, synchronicities, crystal healing, Disney, Muggles, #allthethings. Also, a little secret, I create it while capturing my beautiful clients and people just like you! Someone once asked me what made me want to do photography. I started taking photos as a hobby, I have always loved photos— photos of things, places, people. For me, photographs are like songs or smells that bring you back to a familiar memory. They also allow for new perspective as well. Now it's because—People. There is something about the social interaction during a shoot, and the excitement clients experience when my clients receive their timeless memories, or branding from a bright shiny new perspective. Those moments are magic for me. ✨

WHY LUNA BEE PHOTOGRAPHEE?

The name. Firstly, Luna comes from my love for the moon (also, Luna Lovegood is my fav). Secondly, The Bee is attributed to the 2nd half of my name Gab[bee]. I changed the spelling of my name in 6th grade Science Class, declared it was the new spelling of my name, and stood my ground (through many misspelled Christmas & Birthday cards)—until everyone finally accepted it. So, ‘Bee’ is a personal reminder to be as tenacious with this business as I was with the spelling of my name. Lastly, who said you had to spell Photographee with a ‘y’ anyway?
